KYPU 112

VISIT THE FUNDRAISER

A little over a year ago our friend, Nick Heather, was diagnosed with two forms of Leukaemia (ALL and CML). In an incredible show of support, friends and family from around the world decided to hit the pavement (or their hotel quarantine treadmill) to help support both Nick and The Leukaemia Foundation. A jaw-dropping $368,896 was raised.

One of the many positive things to come from the fundraiser was the overwhelming motivation to get out there and get moving. It didn’t matter if we were running, walking, cycling or rollerblading the distance – in the end, we were putting our health first. So, we’re bringing it back!

The best part? One year after watching the challenge from his hospital room (and only 8 months after a stint in ICU) Nick is set to take part in the KYPU 112.

What’s the KYPU 112?

The challenge is to run 112 km in 14 days (22 Nov - 5 Dec). That works out at 8 km a day – but you can slice it any way you like. Feeling fit? Why not make it 11.2 km a day.

If running’s not your thing then feel free to get creative with it. You could do 112 burpees or squats each day. Maybe 112 minutes of yoga or meditation. If it’s good for the soul, then it’s good enough for this challenge.

Set your target and spread the word. Every dollar raised will be donated directly to The Leukaemia Foundation.
